Corry is known in the market as a street scene artist, painting primarily District Six and Cape Town scenes.

Corry Larsen has been a successful South African artist for more than 13 years. She is very well known for her street scenes - in particular District Six, Cape Town V & A Waterfront, boat / Café scenes and "Kaapse Klopse". She also does commissions e.g. Angles, Isle of Man castle & harbor scenes and wedding photographs, to name a few.
Corry has participated in numerous mixed and solo exhibitions. Collections of her work can be seen in prominent places nationally and internationally:

Corry works in oils, using a palette knife or brush. She finds that the medium's plasticity and rich texture encourage daring and unexpected effects.
Her colours are applied in layers in an impasto manner (heavily textured). Her name is linked to expressionistic / contemporary art.
Corry grew up in an artistic family and since childhood art was her passion. She finds inspiration in nature and people. Dramatic sky scenes and the use of bright colours are the hallmarks of Corry's paintings.
She developed her expertise under the guidance of Pieter Millard and since has accomplished being an artist of note in her own right and has created her own style. She has exceeded to the level where she can teach others to enhance their passion for art at her private studio in Helderkruin, Roodepoort.
